Rules and regulations about where people can go, what they can do and what they should wear have been put in place across Australia to help slow the spread of COVID-19.

What are the rules where I am?

Different states, territories and in some cases, local government areas (LGAs) have different rules in place which we all have to follow to protect our communities. Where you are and what level of restrictions are in place will determine the rules that apply to you. For example, currently, Metropolitan Melbourne in under strict Stay at Home Stage 4 restrictions and regional Victoria is under Stage 3 restrictions. Rules are changing all the time so it is important to check your state or territory restrictions regularly.

Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) includes face masks, both disposable and reusable. Your current restrictions might require or strongly recommend you to wear a mask when you are out and about. For more information on when and how to wear a face mask for people with a disability, you should check our blog Disability and Wearing Face Masks - COVID-19.

Check your State or Territory Government's website for the current rules and requirements that apply to you or call the Disability Information Helpline and we can tell you over the phone or in a way that is accessible to you.

If you are unsure about anything, call us and we can point you in the right direction! You can contact the COVID-19 Disability Information Helpine on 1800 643 787 Monday to Friday 8 am to 8 pm AEST.
