Am I a carer?
A carer is someone of any age who looks after a family member or friend with a disability, a medical condition, mental illness, health condition or someone who is frail due to age.

My Choices Virtual Expo

My Choices 2022 is the third annual online careers expo.

This is an inclusive Careers Expo designed to meet all student needs.

Educators and Service Providers are represented.

If students are not able to attend a local Careers Expo because of distance, disability or are time poor and need to discuss career options with professionals then My Choices is the way to go.

Who is this webinar for?

This webinar is for anyone who provides assistance to others to make decisions. The webinar will include stories and examples of supporting people with intellectual disability with their decision making. Although useful to have completed the previous webinars, it is not essential.

Sexuality & Relationships for Adults and Intellectual Disability

Previous workshop held on the 28th April 2022
 
Aimed at Support and Service providers - This two part workshop series delivered by Laura Hogan and Emma Doukakis will provide an introduction to issues surrounding the support of adults with an intellectual disability as they explore their own relationships and sexuality.  

 
Presented via 2 x 3 hour interactive video conferences over Google Meet, Laura and Emma will dive into the issues surrounding:
  • Values
  • Duty of Care, Consent and Supported Decision Making
  • Social skills, relationships, and sexuality from a human rights perspective  
  • Providing sex education
  • Supports under the NDIS
  • Resources
