Webinar

Learn about supported decision-making and how it can benefit you and your child. For families of primary school-aged children with developmental delay or disability. Hosted by the Council of Intellectual Disability (CID).

Parents want their children to become independent adults whose needs and preferences are respected and honoured. Supported decision making is an approach that guides people with disabilities, including children, to make more of their own decisions.

Ricky and David from the Council for Intellectual Disability (CID) will explore how you can encourage your child to be who they want to be and do what they want to do though supported decision making.

Come along to explore:

  • What is supported decision making and how it can benefit you and your child
  • How to encourage your child to make decisions and become more independent
  • How to engage in an open discussion with other parents
