This workshop will outline what the NDIS early childhood approach age extension from 7 to 9 means for your family

 

Make the best use of your NDIS supports 

What is support coordination, and how can it help you to get the most out of your NDIS plan?

Sam Paior of The Growing Space will introduce you to support coordinators, the services they provide and how to access them as a part of your funding. She will also discuss how to find a provider that is a good fit for your child and family’s needs.

Come along to explore:

  • The three levels of support coordination available and criteria
  • How to include support coordination in your NDIS plan
  • How to create a sensory sensitive environment 
  • Questions to ask for making an informed decision when choosing a provider 

This session is for

Parents, primary carers and family members of children with disability, developmental delay or neurodivergence aged 0-18 years old.

Sam Paior from The Growing Space will facilitate this session.

Sam has worked in the disability sector as an advocate, parliamentary advisor, family educator, board member and consultant for twenty years. Her experience crosses sensory, autism, and physical as well as intellectual disabilities. She parents two young people who, between them, have an extra disability, education and health needs, and she strongly believes in building inclusive communities for all. She is one of Australia’s foremost experts on the NDIS and a member of the NDIA Independent Advisory Council.
