Five years ago, Mandy McCracken was a stay-at-home mum, busy looking after her three daughters, who were all under the age of ten.

Everything changed when Mandy contracted a life-threatening blood infection that developed into sepsis. To save her life, she had her hands and her feet amputated.

Mandy is now a proud mother with a disability. When her youngest child was being teased at school because of her mum's prosthetic arms and legs, Mandy decided to go into her daughters’ school to educate the other children about disability.
