As part of the Boosting the Local Care Workforce program, the Department of Social Services has released a range of resources on a new website.

These resources provide support for existing and potential NDIS service providers.

 The web resources are structured around three main steps:

  • Getting started as an NDIS provider

The resources include the release of a new data analytics tool, the NDIS Demand Map - an up to date forecast of the NDIS demand by postcode across Australia.

  • How to connect with the 25 Regional Coordinators - helping local organisations build sustainable businesses and grow their workforce
  • Getting started as an NDIS provider
  • NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission

 Boosting the Local Care Workforce Program resources:

  • Free Readiness Assessment for organisations to self-assess their readiness to become a NDIS registered provider OR grow their services as a registered provider.
  • Growing and training your NDIS workforce
  • Transition Grant Funding for eligible service providers

 There are also a schedule of Boosting the Local Care Workforce program of local forums and workshops rolling out in 2019.
