September 23rd highlights bisexuality and the challenges posed by biophobia and bisexual erasure, as well as celebrating the work of a growing number of local, national and international organisations around the world which champion bisexual visibility and equality. It was first marked in 1999, and recognition has grown greatly in recent years. It is a celebration in particular of bi identity but also of other identities under the “bi+ umbrella” like pansexual, polysexual and omnisexual, just to name a few.
We will be meeting at the Positive Living Centre from 6 pm on the 30th, where we can all meet, celebrate our biconic community and enjoy some bi history from the queer archives.
Light refreshments and dinner provided.
This event is accessible and open to all bi+ folk. If you are unsure if this event is for you, reach out. Questioning queers are welcome to!
