    Description Seniors Rights Service is a state-wide community organisation supporting older people with free and confidential legal advice, aged care advocacy, social work support throughout NSW. Service is provided over the phone. Aged care advocates are located in a number of regional centres. Education forums are held to focus on abuse prevention and planning for later life. Requests are invited for an event in the community that is tailored to local needs. Advice includes consumer rights, human rights/ elder abuse, financial exploitation such as scams or issues with family members, planning for later life. Legal issues that they can help with include Retirement Village issues, Strata living issues, Granny Flat issues and a number of other legal services. Aged care advocacy can include informing clients of their rights regarding their aged care provider and other issues. Referral is available to other suitable organisations if further information is required.
