Welcome! Meet Ezy-Dun.

Ezy-Dun opens up community and cultural festivals to be more inclusive and accessible for all.

Launched in Wagga on 4 March 2019, the PLATFORM project is an artists’ space, a training package for event organisers to put on community based festivals and cultural events, and Ezy-Dun, an accessible toilet and adult changing facility.

PLATFORM is housed in a portable, accessible ‘space’ adapted from a 40-foot shipping container.  Designed to be a flexible arts space, the container is transported on a semi trailer, and can be configured as a sensory space, chill out area, exhibition centre or set up as a small stage.

A brightly coloured transportable facility is sitting on a wheelbase in a carpark with a long ramp attached for access.

Accompanying the shipping container is Ezy-Dun, an accessible, portable bathroom with a toilet, hoist and adult changing table for people with any disability.

This transportable facility is an essential element in increasing participation of people with mobility disabilities and allowing them to enjoy all day events, just like anybody else.

“The vivid realisation of an arts space accompanied by the much needed portable accessible bathroom gives the opportunity for all people to get out amongst their own community festivals”, said IDEAS Executive Officer, Diana Palmer.

A joint initiative of Eastern Riverina Arts (ERA) in collaboration with IDEAS, PLATFORM aims to increase participation and visibility of both artists and people with disability at community events across the region.

As well as an assessible space for artists, PLATFORM will also provide complimentary consultations and Disability Awareness training for shire councils event organisers looking to improve accessibility in community-based festivals and cultural events.
